(KZN.RU, July 15, Ksenia Shvetsova). This year, Kazan will approve a new program to support small and medium-sized businesses (SME). It will operate for 5 years, until 2024. Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Kazan Executive Committee, instructed to finalize the program together with representatives of the business community and discuss all the support means that SMEs can count on at the Business Monday today.
The new program must be adopted since this year the 3-year program of support for SME is being completed, said Artur Valiakhmetov, the chairman of the Committee for Economic Development. According to him, the draft of the new program has already been developed and submitted to the Ministry of Economy of the RT.
“All means contributing to the development of small business in Kazan are adjusted and supplemented with the needs of entrepreneurs”, said A. Valiakhmetov. “By the end of this year, it is planned to hold several roundtables, meetings, and discussions of the project with the city business community”.
In general, issues of SME development are considered on a systematic basis in direct dialogue with businesses, self-employed citizens, support institutions and authorities, he added.
“The finalization of the municipal program of support for small and medium-sized businesses for the next five years is the most urgent task today”, noted Denis Kalinkin. “The previous program was designed for 3 years. The Government of the Republic decided to extend the period of new programs to improve planning and create a more favorable investment climate”.
The program of support for SMEs includes measures aimed at financial, property, and informational support for entrepreneurs, as well as assistance in expanding sales markets for producers.
The program will be adopted finally at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
