The winner of the 2025 Star Ticket Award was announced at the Kazan City Hall. The award was presented to Anna Basner at the opening ceremony of the 18th Aksyonov-Fest literary and musical festival. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, welcomed the guests and participants of the event. Among the guests were the first prize winner, Denis Osokin; French writer Yves Gauthier, poet and radio and TV host Dmitry Vodennikov, children's author and science fiction writer Eduard Verkin, and others. «It is a great pleasure and an honor for me to be here at this wonderful festival for the 18th time», – said Ilsur Metshin, opening the event. He shared his memories of how the festival started, beginning with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Vasily Aksyonov in the capital of Tatarstan. Anna Basner, a writer from St. Petersburg, has become the winner of the Star Ticket Award in the prose category. Her novel «Theseus’ Paradox» was shortlisted for the prestigious national Big Book Award, and the award was presented to her by Irina Barmetova, the editor-in-chief of the literary and arts magazine Oktyabr. Writer Anna Basner expressed her gratitude to the organizers of the festival and noted that it was a great honor to participate in the Aksyonov Fest. She emphasized that it is a challenge for writers to maintain a balance between reality and fiction, particularly when it comes to writing about urban spaces.
