Ilsur Metshin announces on Instagram the beginning of submission period for the grant competition for startup projects

Another supporting measure for entrepreneurs will be subsidizing the costs of registration and certification of goods.

The submission period for a competition for developers of startup projects has started in Kazan. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin announced this today during a live broadcast on Instagram. Twenty winners will receive a subsidy of 300 thousand rubles. The main term of the competition is that the projects should be applicable in the urban economy, in such areas as transport, recycling, housing and utilities, urban improvement and IT.

For reference, Kazan startups’ developers asked the head of the city to support them at a summer meeting of the coordinating council for supporting small and medium-sized businesses at the Saidash Cultural Center.

Small and medium-sized businesses of Kazan will be able to take part in the competition. According to the results of the competition, twenty winners will be determined, who will receive a subsidy of up to 300,000 rubles for reimbursement of costs incurred during the development and implementation of the project.

During the live broadcast, Ilsur Metshin reported on another supporting measure for entrepreneurs – subsidizing the costs of registration, certification of goods, services and quality management systems and other forms of conformity assessment. A subsidy up to 50,000 rubles will be provided to 50 entrepreneurs.

This supporting measure will be provided to those entrepreneurs who have paid for and received the relevant services in the period from January 1, 2020 to July 1, 2021 and will be able to submit appropriate documents.

Applications for supporting measures will be accepted until October 1.

“This is just the beginning. If we see good projects, we will increase the amount. The more active you are, the more new forms of support we will provide,”- the head of the city concluded.
