The new school is designed for 1,224 students
Today, the new physics and mathematics school № 123 opened on Tazetdinova Street in the Sovetsky District of Kazan. This school is designed for 1,224 students. The construction of the school was completed ahead of schedule this summer. By the end of October, all measures necessary for putting the building into operation were completed, including obtaining permits and obtaining an educational license. The building was built under the national project “Youth and Children” and the federal program “All the Best for Children”. The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Rustem Gafarov, the Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan, attended the opening ceremony.
The building has an area of 24,500 square meters and has three floors. The school has two swimming pools, two gyms, 74 classrooms (20 of which are for elementary school students), specialized classrooms, a 552-seat assembly hall (including 10 seats for children with disabilities), spacious recreational areas, and a canteen with 408 seats.
A football pitch, running tracks, basketball and volleyball courts were set up in the yard of school № 123, as well as a playground. The landscaping area covered more than 6,700 square meters.
The school provides all the necessary conditions for in-depth learning of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). IT training classroom allows students to assemble drones using state-of-the-art equipment. In the robotics classroom, students can design robots.
