The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin awarded the teacher of Russian language and literature
Ilya Tarasov, a teacher of Russian language and literature at school № 121 named, has received the award the “Teacher of the Year” in Kazan. Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin presented the awards to the winners at a ceremony at the Kazan City Hall.
Ilsur Metshin called the competition a “social escalator”: “It opens up opportunities, unites experienced and young teachers, and is based on the continuity of generations”. Winners of previous years (Nail Mirsaitov, Maria Golovanova and others) make a key contribution to the education system of the city.
Ilya Tarasov graduated from Kazan Federal University in 2021. He is engaged in public work: in the election commission, volunteering, helping families of participants of the special military operation, and disabled children. “The competition gave emotions, adrenaline and unity. It is an honor for me to stand here, I will make every effort to keep it up,”- he said.
Ilya Tarasov will represent Kazan at the regional stage of the competition.
The municipal competition “Teacher of the Year” has a rich history and has been held since 1990. Since then, more than 10,000 teachers have taken part in it. About 31 thousand educational workers are employed in schools and kindergartens of Kazan, their professionalism ensures a high status of education in the republic.
More than 17 thousand teachers work in the capital of the republic at 344 kindergartens, 49 institutions of supplementary education and 206 schools.
